How Wedo works

Photos come second.

  1. The Filters screen: age, location, languages, ethnicity, nationality and education.
    01

    Answer honestly

A short questionnaire about the things that decide a marriage: your timeline, your values, family plans, finances, where you want to live, and how you practise.

  2. A profile with the compatibility breakdown across six dimensions.
    02

    See why you match

Wedo scores every match on those answers and shows you the breakdown, so you always know why someone is in front of you.

  3. A conversation in Wedo, with the match score and shared values pinned at the top.
    03

    Talk with intention

Express interest, read a profile in full, and start a conversation when you both say yes.

The score

Compatibility you can actually read.

Every match is scored on six things that decide a marriage, and the breakdown is always on the profile. No black box, and no guessing what a number means.

  • Values, timeline, family, finances, lifestyle and location, each scored on its own.
  • Timelines that differ are shown as worth discussing, not as a dealbreaker.
  • Location uses the city on your profile. Wedo never reads your GPS.

Your photos, your call

You decide who sees your face.

Every member adds two photos, so people know they are talking to a real person. Who gets to see them is one question with four honest answers, and you can change your answer at any time.

Five at a time

Fewer conversations, taken seriously.

You can have five conversations open at once. When all five are full, starting a new one means choosing one to leave. Making room is a decision, never an accident.

Leaving, not ghosting

When you leave, the other person sees that you left and can still read what was said. You can tell Wedo why. Only Wedo sees it, and it never reaches them.

Built for marriage

Everything here is designed so that the right people get real attention.

A look inside

You always know why someone is in front of you.

Safe by design

Written to be read, built to be trusted.

You tell a marriage app things you would not tell a shopping app. So the rules are simple, and they are the same for everyone.

Safety

  • Report and block are on every profile and in every conversation.
  • Every report is read by a person, usually within 24 hours.
  • Blocking is silent and complete: you disappear from each other everywhere.
  • Offensive language is filtered in messages and profiles.

Privacy

  • Only your first name is ever shown.
  • Your exact location is never stored, only the city you type.
  • No marketing email, no ads, and your data is never sold.
  • Delete your account, and everything in it, from inside the app.

Questions

Good questions, plain answers.

Is Wedo halal?

Yes. Wedo is made for Muslims looking for nikah, and nothing else. Everyone on it has said marriage is what they want, you decide who sees your photos, and you talk to at most five people at a time. Wedo introduces two people; what happens next is between them and their families.

Who can see my photos?

You choose, from four answers: any member; people you express interest in; those people plus members you are 85% compatible with or more; or only someone you have both said yes to. Anyone your choice leaves out sees a soft blur of colour instead. Change it any time in Settings › Photos.

Why can I only have five conversations?

So each one gets real attention. When all five are open, starting a new one means choosing one to leave. The other person sees that you left and can still read what was said. If you tell Wedo why, only Wedo sees it.

How do I block or report someone?

From the menu on any profile or conversation. Reports are confidential, the person is never told, and a person on our team reads every one, usually within 24 hours. Blocking is mutual and total: you disappear from each other everywhere in Wedo.
