Delete your Wedo account

In the app

The quickest way. It takes effect at once, on iPhone and on Android.

• Open Wedo and sign in.
• Go to your Profile and open Settings.
• At the bottom, tap Delete my account.
• Type DELETE to confirm, then tap the delete button.

You see what was removed straight away. There is no waiting period and nothing to undo.

Without the app

If you no longer have the app, or cannot sign in, email [email protected] from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We check that the request really comes from that address, delete the account, and reply when it is done — usually within a few days, and never later than 30 days.

What is deleted

• Your profile and every answer you gave.
• Your photos.
• Your messages, and the conversations you were part of — for the other person as well.
• Your interests, passes, favourites, blocks and profile visits.
• The phones registered to receive your notifications, and your sign-in.

What is kept, and for how long

• Reports. A report you made, or one made about you, is kept so we can still act on it. If you made it, your email address is removed from it. A report is removed one year after the reported account is deleted.
• The email address of an account we suspended for breaking the rules, so the same person cannot simply sign up again.
• Copies in the database's encrypted backups, for up to 7 days, until they are overwritten.

Nothing else is kept. The full details are in the privacy policy.

Only want a break?

Pause your profile instead — Settings, Pause my profile. You disappear from Discover and stay paused until you come back. Nothing is deleted.
